We had gallons of rain this summer, couldn't get out and do anything in the muck that is the 8th acre, but it's been dry the last few weeks, so I tilled yesterday. It was like breaking sod all over again. The rain had settled the muck as tight as cement, and this kid is all stoved up from manhandling the tiller for four hours yesterday.

Ow. But it's a dry ow.....

Nony, you sending snow down this week?

balsum fractus

Nope.......somebody came and got it all a couple of weeks ago....now we are back to fall or spring type weather - I can't tell which...

stetto

Ok. I was wondering who's supposedly shipping the "winter storm" forecast for Friday. Naturally, you came to mind.... :disturbed:

Friday? They are talking 2-5" for us tomorrow. But today still 70s and perrrfect, tomorrow 'Vinter colms.'

Good morning...

Hard to tell with the wind, but I'd say there's 6 inches so far. Heck of a thing to have to wake up to.

Onepoint

Heheh, yeah that's about the normal forecast, until it's snowing and already have a couple inches on the ground, and then they are positive its going to snow, with some accumulation.  :icon_biggrin:

We had about 3" yesterday, started about 2 or so, lasted until about 10 pm, some wind but it's all sunshine this morning.  It is shock to the system since the day before was 70+ degrees.

We didn't have 70s the day before, but upper forties counts, I guess. Thing is, the lawn was still lush and green, that doesn't happen every year...

This is crap snow too, about two inches into it the heat of the ground underneath has it warmed to slush, just about enough to break a plastic snow shovel...and my sacariliac.

Ya notice there's very little comment from the tropics of Tejas?

balsum fractus

......still dry ground up this way.........

(For now.....)

It turned to winter yesterday. High in the 60s. Brrrrr...

We might make that today, may not even need a coat of the wind stays down.  :)

Rain, then snow, and then cold wind for us.  For some reason I am missing that 70 degrees.
