Plenty of sun today anyway, but plenty of wind and cold too.

It's fall!!  No, it's winter.  Well wait, it's sort of summer.  And now it's fall again, but it's raining.  So I'm wearing a parka over my shorts, rain jacket and insulated flip flops.  Will it never end?   :sadness:

Jack Frost paid us a visit!

We have had a lot of fog lately with overnight temps dipping below freezing, leaving all the trees with a magnificent layer of frost on them.

Fair warning to you southerners.....We have an arctic front moving in tonight, dropping temps another 20 degrees......it will probably visit y'all as well.

Ah, the hoar frost! We too have been seeing a lot of that. Melty snow today, more frozen snow to come most of the week. We had a red fox den in the burn pile this fall, shows him/herself often, drives the dogs crazy by playing in the snow when the dogs are in. I don't think I'll shoot it, doesn't seem a threat. Not til the chicken coop is built....

They keep the rodent population down. We had a mama and her 2 babies in our storage yard this year...no mice damage to anything!

I'm hoping this one works the rodents as well, Nony. The dogs haven't scared it off, and they are nosy! I'd love to get the rabbit epidemic under control, and after 7 years we have a competitor for the fox squirrels; about a half dozen gray and black squirrels have taken up residence in the grove.

We have not had a enough moisture to make  much frost so far.  Supposed to get a winter wake up call tonight, low around zero, highs tomorrow low teens, maybe.   Not really looking forward to it, especially if the wind shows up again.

Foxes are not bad to have around, unless you have birds.  We have had one come in once in awhile,  but I have not been able to catch it yet,  I suppose with the open weather its fat off gophers so far.  We have had a possum around again, usually I don't get wound up about them, unless they start getting into the eggs or taking chickens, moots of the time they are stealing the chicken feed.

20 here this morning, but under a blizzard warning. They have a foot of snow just 50 miles north of us, we have a dusting in our back yard.

That dusting is swirling pretty good though... :eek5:

we are about -30 with the wind chill.  It is frippin' cold!!

-15 here, but no wind thankfully, at least until tomorrow.

15 ABOVE for us, but the Snowblower From Hell has struck again, and we have just enough wind that the snow keeps filling back in.

The family wants me to go down to Phoenix and drive my brother's truck back up here. Phoenix sounds nice about now...

The drive back passes through Wyoming, wink-wink..... :eusa_clap:

Heheh, that would be great, I just hope it's not like this, or all you will see of fubarhill is the front of the wood stove.  :sadness:
