Yeah, I wish we had some, but its looking like about mid to late June around here already.  Going to be a long summer

Dag blame it!! We've had more snow this spring, than all of winter...that in itself would not be so bad but it comes in bunches, warms up melts into goo and mud, then we get hit with another one, and repeat cycle...I sure all the plants and trees are totally confused what season they are in.....

Well we have not had winter to speak of.  We had a 'big storm' just roll through, give us maybe a 10th inch or rain and a some sleet enough to dampen the side walk, and of course the 40mph wind.  We were lucky in that he worst of the squall split right when it got to us so north and south of us just a mile or so had some pretty good rain, well 2 or 3 tenths anyway.

This is really not looking good for summer.

Rain gauge has an inch and a half in it this morning. Add that to an inch and a half a week ago and we're catching up in the outer region of Nowhere. It was a really warm, dry winter, and if the temps were just a bit lower here we'd have what Nony's getting...

I'd be happy to send some wet stuff to all who desire it. I would like to see some sunshine for a while.  :eusa_wall: :eusa_wall:

ARRRRRG!!!

We went 2 whole weeks without any snow (lots of rain, though)...all the vegetation started turning this funny green color...dunno if it was mildew, or what....  Then today we get rain (lots of it), snow (lots) wind(lots), more rain and snow and wind (cars in the ditch, upside down, traffic slowed to a crawl) more rain, lots more wind, then.......nothing! The sky cleared up, the wind stopped just as if nothing had happed...
Wonky weather!!!

Heh, we have had 2 days of showers and thunderstorms roll through, and got a whole 1tenth of an inch out of it.   This is about as dry as I have seen it here, no pasture, fields are dry.  We missed the week of green and went straight to grey.  :sadness:
fortunately there is irrigation water, but man is this not going to be fun if it stays this way through the hot parts of summer.

Yeah, I know it is critical for your livelihood to get some moisture....we might be in the same boat here, with no snow pack to provide the moisture levels in the soil, what rain we get is soaked up right away and I believe we are still in a fire ban due to the dry conditions...which is incredulous when you are up to your ankles in slush...

I really hope you get some badly needed rain soon.... I bet Lake Fubar must be dried up.........

Heheh, yeah right now its Fubar salt flats. :)

Fubar Salt Flats?  How long is it?  I want to see how fast my RC Mustang GT will go...... :disturbed:

Well mine is just long enough to make a good wreck, but the neighbor is long enough to set a land speed record. :)

Well we went almost 4 months and got 3/10 of an inch of moisture.  I got to where I would pray daily, sometimes more, "God, we could sure use a little rain"
Couple days ago,  a thunderstorm came out of the south, which is odd, usually when they come from that way it means trouble, and while it did have a little hail in it,  it dumped 3" of rain :eek5:

Now I pray "God, I could use a little gold"  :disturbed:

Huh. The local weather-guessers have been predicting "severe" weather and "heavy" rain here all Spring. The next day they repeat the forecast, but for tomorrow, never acknowledging their useless forecast of the night before.

I remember, before they were so addicted to computer simulations, that they were actually pretty close some of the time. Nowadays? Never, though they argue with numbers they pulled out a computer simulator's ass that say they're ALWAYS right.

...Village idiots, all of 'em, and me looking at a lot of dry earth.

Its 100 degrees out... for the canuckistans its hotter than heck out  :icon_lol: since you have funny degrees and stuff to measure with.. and wind 28 gusting to 37 mph.  We had no rain here in may and so far in June other than once we got the sidewalk wet... literally.  Way below average moisture and way above temps all year.  Our wheat harvest will probably start Monday.  We have never cut wheat this early, sometimes starting about the 4th of July area.  Right now I dont know how any fall crops will grow, unless the Good Lord blesses us with some good rain this summer and fall.

If I can get this link to work, its an online weather dealy bop that my brother in law has and it is hooked up to the national weather service somehow.  http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/wxpage.cgi?call=DW9439&last=12  His house is 1/4 mile away from where I live.

Yeah its been a weird weather year.  Bet this isnt the last of weird weather too... what with all the hot air blowing in D.C.
