I heard a good one on the radio the other day.....

"After the winter we've had, let's just hope that Summer falls on a Saturday this year..."

Heheh, what's summer?

We had 1" of rain last night and so far 8" + inches of snow today.   :eusa_wall:  We don't have puddles, we have islands and water obstacles.

Ychhhhhh!

A little bit of everything yesterday, snow, rain, hail, sun, wind.......

But all in all it is probably the mildest November we have had this year........

Oh yeah. Still wet & 40s here. Better than -40s, but we're about saturated. Sump is running every nine minutes, and we're on high ground!

You lucky dogs.  We are officially drier than the dust bowl days.  Got the sidewalk wet over the whole weekend.
To understand true love, lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour and then see which one is glad to see you when you come back

stetto

Sorry Ron. I'd gladly split our last week's rain (now 5") with you. You'd have to trade about 30 of your degrees though.

YEah I have been hearing how dry it is even in western WY,  we had about 4" of moisture in a week, there was still water standing on top of the high spots, which was really bizarre to see, it looked like it had just rained a downpour or something and I see I have new pond on some fo the stuff I had seeded, that always helps, hail, snow, and then flooded, I expect that be a great field now.  I suppose if it survives, it will be plenty 'hearty'.

We've gotten about three inches of rain at the house the past two days.  We needed it, but now I'm afraid Stetto's mosquitos will migrate south in search of warmer weather and more water... :icon_mrgreen:

Okay, who's the wise guy that sent all them hungry bugs up here??

Started raining here Friday evening,  we are catching a break right now,  total so far is 5.1 inches.  We desperately needed it and more.

Got the eighth acre planted over the weekend. Hot and dry, though "they" predict rain every day, we aren't gettin' any. I get up extra early just to watch the weather buffoons come up with more and more inventive excuses for being wrong. We have ground water, that's good, but until my starts develop roots to tap into it, I'm running the well pump to death.

"They" predict rain, I irrigate.

We have had break with showers for the last couple, unfortunately the hail has wiped out most of the alfalfa 1st cutting.  But I do have nice crop of mustard and cheat grass.  Unfortunately we're supposed to have rain showers for the week because of a pacific hurricane moving moisture up to us.   Which creates a dilemma because the weeds need cut right now,  next week they will start going to seed and start to dry out even with the rain and really be crap for feed.  So old dry crap or rained on crap.  I hope I get to eat better than cows will this coming winter.  :icon_cry:

I have a friend who may make you a deal on square-bale grass. He doesn't deliver...Be a great excuse to come visit.  8)

Heheh, to heck with hay, you can come visit anyway.
