We got down to -19.  Its -3 at 8:25 as I type this.  Yeah, when it gets this cold, a few more degrees doesn't seem to matter too much.
To understand true love, lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour and then see which one is glad to see you when you come back

Its everything we can do to keep vehicles running. I've got and Interstate in my truck, but nobody else. Wearing out my jumper cables and no block heaters in the bunch.

Weather idiots claim this should be the coldest of the year. They think I'm stupid? There's only 2 weeks left in this year....

Heat wave !!!!    It got almost up to freezing today. That's up 50 degrees warmer than yesterday !

Onepoint

Oh you cheater! we only got to about 20, but it was so cold for so long that nothing wanted to move even though it warmed up some, I still have a water froze despite a heat lamp under it.  Supposed to be high 40s today though, so maybe stuff will finally thaw out.

As of today I officially hate my driveway.

Onepoint

Heheh, we have not had enough snow to make me dislike it yet.  But ice, if it weren't for margaritas and mudslides, I may start having a serious dislike for it.

After 3 days of below zero the cow waterers looked more like art deco inspired ice sculptures rather than drinking facilities.

Ice blizzard scheduled for Sunday-Monday. Mom's in Phoenix with my brother, Dad alone at the house. Going to be perhaps the least Christmas-ish Christmas in memory.

I continue to hate my driveway, or at least the west side of it.

Hate to mess with you guys, but it's 77 degrees and cloudy here.  Been raining on and off for a few days, but I'm hoping it stops long enough to get the luminarias out for Christmas.  None of that snnnnnnn.........ssssssnnnn.........white stuff anywhere.  Well, maybe in Dallas...

Here in Houston, the cops are writing tickets for cars parked in people's driveways because the cars block the sidewalk.  Government at its best.

Onepoint

We actually warmed up the last couple days, been near 50, so its felt like its warm.   Supposed to have a white Xmas though, with horizontal snow, so I don't know if Kayla is going to make it or not.  Hope so, or its going to be a Chrcistmasy free Christmas here as well.

So if you can't park in your drive way, where are you supposed to park?

stetto

That's a tough one to answer; I'd hate to lose my man card....

We've had a constant 30 mph west wind for over two weeks now. Every. Single. Day. And some days twice, I've had to get the broken down blower out and take out a drift that insists on filling back in. I have snow fence but put off installing it until it was too late.

So when I don't get out there in time someone drives through, packing the snow and growing an unblowable hump. Which then drifts over again.....

If I had money or even credit I'd have a four by with a blade on it and be busting this shite up and keeping it clear....er. When the thaw comes I'll have a 3 foot deep slushpile...

jetmex

80 degrees here today.  Santa was able to fly a VFR approach this year and had no need for the anti ice systems!

Don't any of y'all up north get any ideas about leaving that gate open....

Onepoint

We ended up with a mini blizzard, I was hoping to miss it, but no such luck.

stetto

Yup, a big yukky one. We have warnings of all kinds, won't be much travel in our part of Texas for the next few days.

Jaime. Shut up.

zrct02

After nearly freezing our butts off in the low 60s it turned to a nice balmy 80 yesterday. You're welcome Jaime, someone needed to tell it. :)

Onepoint

Oh man how did you ever manage.  :icon_lol:

We have a reprieve more or less, highs in the 40s, lot of wind making it feel cold though. But I saw on the long range forecast another shot of 0s for highs, and -10 lows after the 1st.  I hope they blow that forecast for sure.
