We have been dodging bullets of supercells as they make their way,  good for the most part but making it awfully dry.   Last night we got clipped with a T storm and left an nice steady 1/2".  But we have had a significant cool down the last couple days, from the mid 90 with jumps to triple digits to 70s and even into the 50s last night.  In fact here we are almost 8 am and foggy and 58. Not complaining too much, its nice for a change.  I'm sure summer will come back and make us pay.

This has in fact been one of the more 'normal' years weather wise, its frontier days right now, so the weather is supposed to be chitty.  And for the most part,  we had snow when we were supposed to and rain as well, and some nice hot haying weather,  it may not have been always when I ordered it, but what ya gonna do with service these days.

But All the towns around us have been getting lost of street flooding and of course the mid July snow in Cheyenne.

I remember snow in July in Cheyenne. Nuf sed.

We're roller coasting with the temps here now, 90 yesterday, 65 today, back to 90 tomorrow, so they say. My peppers don't get it, they're dropping flowers like crazy. I'm smelling an early Fall, I tell ya.....

Onepoint

We are climbing back out of early fall back to summer, 90s for the foreseeable and dry they say.  Lot of mid 50s at night though, which is a little cool normally for now.

We had a cool spell recently 95-98. Went to 100 yesterday and maybe for the foreseeable future.

We have never had more than 3 consecutive days of dry weather...lotsa thunderstorms wind and rain.....and then, just to keep things interesting, extreme hot in between........

Onepoint

Yeah, so much for our big dry spell too, we had 3 whole days it didn't rain,  I wake up up to it showering this morning and they say supposed to be showers all through Monday now.    Are you in the drought down there Roger?

We got a trace of rain yesterday. First in about a month or so.

Onepoint

WY has had some wild weather this year,  we have had about a 100 severe weather warnings in SE WY since May  between tornadoes, flash floods and hail,  something like 20 tornadoes statewide which is unusual for us.

As bad as they were the hail is the worst, the last month we have been treated to some relatively small but really bad thunderstorms, they may only be a 5 or so miles wide, but baseball or bigger hail and one storm had  straight winds clocked over 100 mph.  Driving around its pretty wild to see one field of corn green and tall and 1/4 mile away it looks like it was mowed.

Right at the port of entry in Cheyenne, the hail wan't all that big, but came so fast with high winds it took out windows on one side and scoured the grass off in the surrounding area of a couple miles, I went through a couple days later and it looked like they had mowed it at ground level and sprayed.

Two days ago we were melting in the oppressive heat.......today it is cold (47 F) and raining!!

jetmex

Been hot and humid, with rain and thunderstorms late afternoon the last few days.  We've had about four inches of rain this past week, temps have been in the mid 90's.  Pretty normal for this time of year around here.

Nony, that 47 degrees of yours sounds pretty good right now!

stetto

This is rare: We're overcast, without a cloud in the sky.

Is there a part of Canada NOT on fire?

Onepoint

Yeah we have had a lot of that London fog too, but ours imported from California.

All the dust clouds here are more exotic - they were imported from the Sahara desert according to the weather guessers.  I didn't really notice, dust is part of my normal environment!   :disturbed:
