2 more days of fine fall weather and then the wake up call Wed thru the end of the week with 20s for highs, teens for lows and some sort of torture device called "snow"  which they are suspiciously not giving amounts for yet.  :icon_neutral:

It's 78 degrees here right now.  That "cold front" they've been talking about for months finally arrived and I'll enjoy it for however many minutes it lasts.

At least we don't need to build any of those snnnn......sssssss.........snsnnnn......fence things.

Huh, us too, exact same "forecast". They're letting the peasantry guess WHERE as well. They tossed in the B word for effect...

...all the while claiming this could be the worst storm in years.

Well they are not going that far here, just "record lows for this time of year " and "several inches possible"  A whole lot of people have just knocked down their hay, I guess they figure better to get snowed on in the windrow.  Hopefully I will finish baling the last of mine this morning.

A cold front rolled through Calgary last night. It was still snowing when we left, but only a few inches accumulated.....

Back home closer to the north pole, just a dusting of snow, and warming up through the week....

Hell froze over last night.  67 degrees when I left the house this morning, and I couldn't find my parka.  Had to leave the windows up on the drive into work, and was pretty close to having to run the heater in the truck.  Haven't used it yet, hope it works.

It's only 80 degrees right now.

22 this morning, snowing with about about 3-4" so far piled up, but we were treated to a pretty impressive thunder snow storm for a couple hours starting about 8 last night.  You know, just in case we thought we were normal and forgot we live in  WY or something.

Interesting......sunny here. I have to pick cherries, and mow the lawn today....

Looks like I made it out of Wyoming just in time.... :icon_mrgreen:

Hell thawed out.  92 degrees right now.

Hey Nony, you can come mow my lawn too, if you'd like!   :disturbed:

Naaaa.......I got the rest of the cherries cleaned off the tree, but didn't get my own lawn mowed..

( they are sour cherries, and if the birds don't eat them, they rot, ferment and make a greasy, slimy mess under the tree......)

13 this morning and about 3" or so still hanging on, supposed to be in the 70s later in the week, but seems like fantasy right now.  I keep feeling like I should be putting up Xmas lights.  :sadness:

Ok, hell is having second thoughts - supposed to be in the 50's over the weekend here.  And I still don't know where my parka went!

Honcho, you need to do what I do, just leave the Christmas lights up.  I did, the grandkids love it.  I had to move them to the back patio, though, because some grinch down the street complained.  No culture at all in my 'hood    :disgust:

Aww, c'mon Nony.  You need to stay in practice for when the next spring arrives!

A friend in Devils Lake ND sent me this about ten minutes ago...

Din't say what the temps or wind is, but he's ground zero in a blizzard warning. Our snow is melting as it lands. Bless the NWS, eh? Guaranteed to be at least half as bad as they forecast....

balsum fractus

I'd be staying home in front of the fireplace!!

Onepoint

Half as bad or twice as bad, you just have to guess which!
