By rights we deserve Spring in February next year.

Onepoint

This truly has been a horrible year for farming, cold and wet to start with, lots of bad hail all summer, no water for many and then 2 early hard freezes.  I was fortunate for the most part, but now the sugar beet growers have had their beets frozen in.  And I didn't realize they are allocating how much they can bring in because they have to be processed right away, so we get accouple decent days they can get them out, and they can only dig so much before they have to wait.  I bet that is frustrating as hell.   Corn guys are not doing much better,  they started to combine corn, then we got some snow, and just about the time it dried out, they got a day or 2 its dried out and we got freezing rain and drizzle which has kept it to wet to harvest.

supposed to be early fall like for the next couple days and then plunge  down in the 20s for highs for the 1st of the week.   I just hope it gets all this out its system before calving time starts next spring.

We got January in November. They're claiming warmer in 10 days or so, but their computers can only look so far ahead, then they switch to seasonal averages for a forecast. It's the best they got...

It is well and truly the white season here with 10" of "stuff" arriving while we were out of town for the weekend. Temperatures well below zero too!!

We are bouncing around, had  70 Saturday, yesterday it topped out at 25 with 3" of new snow overnight, and today we are supposed to be mid50snear 60 for the week mostly.

Canadian zero or the real one? We were -2F this morning, "normal" is 25. We may get a high of that today. Sure won't be seeing any 70 again this year...

...glad I chose not to go deer hunting this year....

Spring yesterday, 76 degrees until about 4 in the afternoon, then it became winter.  38 degrees last night, supposed to be in the upper 20's tonight.  It's ok, though, I had my parka out from when it got down to below 60 last week...

Front blew in here yesterday morning about 7,  was 63 before it hit, then in less than 20 minutes it was 36 with a north wind blowing 25-35 with gusts to 45.  Got up this morning it was 15, did finally get above freezing this afternoon, but not for long.

Ugh, that is cold, we have had a couple -1 , -2 mornings, but not negative numbers more than I have fingers.    Actually we are getting a reprieve for a few days, supposed to be relatively mild and dry for the next few days.

Hmph!!  Now it is raining!

At least it is warmer......

Onepoint

Ugh, winter for real again, about 8 to 10" of wet heavy stuff, hard to tell since its coming in at angles and piling up with some wind, and its supposed to keep up most of the day.

I hate this time of year where it seems like we get about 4 hours of daylight.

Yeah, our weather alarmists made a big deal of your snow, Honcho, and have been trying to gin up panic with "Is it coming our way?"...not "It's coming our way", but "is it?". Then you tune in to local news and lo & behold it is not, it is heading for Minneapolis, around 200 miles to the south and east.

Our 10" of snow is supposed to come on Saturday, from the vicinity of Nonyland...

We got.......oh.......maybe an inch of snow overnight, and it is coming down very lightly....
As Novembers go, this one has been refreshingly mild! Usually we obscenely cold spells this time of year......
