74 degrees, fog and rain right now.  The current humidity is 131%.

Onepoint

30, fog / freezing mist then sleet that turned to snow, and under a blizzard warning, but we ain't got no damn mosquitoes.  :disturbed:

Well that was fun, power has been out for about 7 hours now, thank god for the genny.   Internet was down until just a bit ago as well.  Got some 4' drift to contend with tomorrow to feed, but for now we are doing OK.

Onepoint

Next day at noon, still no power, possibly might be tomorrow before they get it all up again they say.  Juyst spent 4 hours moving snow with the loader to be ablke to get into any of the gates to feed, but at least it's done and everything is taken care of, except us who are going to bust the drifts and go get a damn margarita and some gas for the generator.  In that order.

Feel for ya, Honcho. I just got done blowing the drive and half the back yard of "8-12 inches" (it was maybe 6 if you pushed the ruler in at a slant) of wet junk, in what was supposed to be a blizzard that turned out dead calm instead. No fun, but NOT what they were ginning up all week.

Onepoint

Not the worst storm we have had,  but the longest we were without power, about 30 hours.  Fortunately the genny held out despite being temperamental with some water in the gas I suspect, and me accidentally knocking the shut off valve off breaking off flush with the tank, got it macgyvered up for the time being and its moot now anyway, I hope.

We have it drift across this gate from time to time, they were not amused being 'locked' in.

Is that horse really up to its belly in ssssss........snnnnnssnnn.........snnnnnn.....white stuff?

72 degrees and absolutely beautiful here today.  Supposed to stay that way for the rest of the week, then it might rain and drop into the 60's.  Lows in the upper 40's.

Onepoint

Its a little deceiving, the snow was actually chest deep on him, and up to the chins on the cows, but it was hard enough they could stand on the edge of it and look over the drift.  Its been warm the lasts couple days now, so much of that has turned into slop., which turns into ice  at night, walking in the mornings is treacherous.

Snow, snow, snow, snow, and more snow as far as the forecast can see.....

But....microscopic little snowflakes that take a long time to accumulate into anything worth worrying about....

I don't have to go anywhere, so I'll just hunker down for a couple of days and pretend it is a big snowstorm......😁

-22°F this morning. This is turning out a repeat of last year's nightmare.

It would be a lot easier to believe in Global Warming if it would just happen...

Onepoint

Well we certainly don't have that, get snow flurries about every 3rd day, but not much to account for like Nony, but we are still melting off the last big one temps are bouncing all over the place, but its definitely not July.

Hey, it got down to +40 last night AND it rained.  Man it was ccccccc-cold......  :disturbed:

What was really funny was the piece on the weather channel a few days ago on how to prevent injuries while shoveling snow.  They got into all sorts of things I never thought of - metal or plastic shovels, how to tune up your snowblower, tips for keeping your portable generator from freezing, how to use your legs to lift instead of your back, how much snow to put on the shovel, how to get the insurance company to pay for damage to your car if you hit it while looking for it after it gets buried, and even what kind of boots to wear.  Of course, they missed completely the #1 way not to get hurt shoveling snow - move to where there isn't any!!!   :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen:

Yeah, but we don't gotta worry about tennis elbow from swatting pterodactyls mosquitoes... half the year.

No mosquitoes right now, they all froze to death during the last "cold" snap.  Been in the 70s for the past few days, supposed to get colder starting Monday.
