You never know what you will get, they predicted partly cloudy and chances of T storms, so far we have had fog which gradually lifted some and became low solid over cast with about 80% humidity and about 55 so far.

It's been raining here since we got back from Florida.  9 inches in the past three days and it's still coming down.  I heard a rumor this is all supposed to end early next week, but for now I'll have to wait a few days for the mud to subside and for the ground to get dry enough to cut the grass.... :disgust:

At least it isn't cold.

Not much different up here Jaime, we have had 11 inches in the last 3 weeks, and it has been cloudy and drizzly here all day with some showers moving through.

And here us in the lush farmland of the sticks of MN have had an inch of rain in two months. OK, 1.4 inches.

Haven't even seen a mosquito yet.

Try to stay dry, guys. Anyone heard if Roger and Joyce are still above water?

After our surprise snow fall, it has been fairly dry and incredibly windy!

We got a taste of late spring yesterday. Started it was fairly warm in the 70s, but cloudy, almost drizzle, sultry, sticky and breezy.  It felt unsettled.  By 10 am the tornado watch was out, by noon warnings were happening. We missed most of the excitement, but 20 miles north and south got a little thrill of tornados on the ground, no damage that I have heard, mostly were out in the open.    A cell that passed east of us through Scottsbluff left some tennisball hail, but not in town.  We had some marble sized, but not much, and some rain, we had a 1/2" fall in about 30 minutes, then continued to rain off and on to give an 1" total.  If that's the worst we get, I'll take it.

If any of you want any of that rain stuff, come and get it.  Started raining about 1000 this morning and hasn't stopped.  I can't see the grass in the back yard because it's all under water, and there's a pretty good imitation of a river running into the storm drain out front.  This is the kind of storm that worries me - it may be good for the drought and all my freeze damaged plants, but people are going to be swimming out of their homes in the low lying areas tonight.  The rain gauge overflowed again, so there's been at least 4-5 inches here at the house today.

It always amazes me to hear about that much rain.  1 time the whole time we lived here, heck for that matter my entire life, we have seen 8" of rain from one storm, and that was over about 3 days.  It had water across roads and fields flooded etc that I have never seen.  Hilariously, the county to address the drainage problem at out intersection and the one to the east of us that both had water covering the road for a week after, instead of putting a new culvert in, put up a sign that says "high water".  I can count on about 3 fingers the times we have seen 5" or so in one shot.  In fact IIRC in 2012 that was about our total rainfall for the year.  And it seems you guys down there get that kind of rain regularly. Do you have to keep moving to avoid moss growing on you?  :disturbed:

I guess I'd take 9" over tis:

I just got the garden in, against my better instincts. Some days you grow food, some days you let the grocery store do it...

Oh, and they say the wind will quit just in time for Friday morning's  event...

jetmex

That much rain all at once still amazes me, too.  Being a desert rat, my idea of a lot of rain was 6-8 inches per year.  Here we sometimes get that much in a day.  There will be mud and mosquitos for the foreseeable future....

And the weather guessers say it's not quite over yet.  :sadness:

wtxsflyr

Woke up to thunder boomers again this morning..... another 1.7 inches.  Under severe thunderstorm warnings now, with flash flood warnings, golf ball size hail, 60 mph winds, heavy rain.

stetto

So then, frost last Friday, this week they claim we'll see 100.

Don't like the weather in MN?

Wait a minute...

New forecast. I'd rather have Carl's rain...

Peppers pretty much shut down @ 90 degrees. Peppers is what I grow most of. Ask the Buckaroo...

Corn & 'maters will love it, I guess.

Onepoint

Yeah that's wild, we are supposed to be mid 90s come Saturday, but mostly in the 80s.  I started cutting hay today, it was plenty wet underneath still.

Gaaaa! I feel your pain, Stetto... we are showing 108 on our back deck.
Us polar vortex bears can't take that kind of heat! 🥵
