Being a native desert rat, that humidity thing goes against every grain in my body.  Yardwork is an excuse for getting soaking wet, even in the evenings when the sun is behind the trees and it's a degree or two under the high temp for the day.

That's why this place is known as "Corrosion Corner".

Hot and smoky up here from all the wildfires in BC..

Not very comfortable outside!

stetto

Here too, though our smoke is from Manitoba/Ontario.

High 80s & mugggggggggy.

40 percent humidity? Tell him Jaime... that's a dry winter day down south... Especially in Houston!!  :icon_cool:

Onepoint

Hey we are 53% this morning, its like a sauna.   :icon_lol:   Its been humid compared to what we usually are but still little rain, supposedly we are supposed to be in our monsoon, but the moisture that is dragged up from the gulf and lower west coat of Baja but the jet is cut off,  part of the drought I suppose.  A week coming of high 90s to triples and no rain so they say.  You can tell its a drought because Frontier Days starts this week, normally that would mean wet weather, instead of blistery hot.

stetto

We go from 90% PLUS to 30% in the course of a day. The 30% is rarely during a useful time of that day.

Onepoint

Suns not up yet (whats up wit dat?  :sadness:) and its wet out and 77% and 70ddegrees.  Kind of makes it hard to do hay when its sopping wet every morning.

stetto

Yeh, right now (9:00 am) we're 78° and 73%.

Hanging Chad

It's a little cool here at 11:30am. Only 77 degrees but humidity is 90%. It's been raining every day here for near a month now, sometimes we get 90/90 or 90/100 on those days when it rains with the sun shining.

QuoteHey we are 53% this morning, its like a sauna.

Sauna?  Don't need those around here, all you have to do is walk outside!  And to think there are people who pay for that experience... :disturbed:

Power was out for about 8 hours yesterday afternoon.  Transformer exploded, got replaced and blew up again.  Fortunately, we had some cloud cover for most of the afternoon, and the added insulation and new windows in the house paid for themselves, so it didn't get too bad inside.

94 degrees, 55% humidity right now.  Feels like 103 outside...

Hey Greg, where are you living these days?  Sounds like you're not too far from this part of the swamp...

I'm still over here in the soggy Georgia woods about 30 miles south of Atlanta city limits. I'm starting an involuntary mushroom farm. Rain, rain and more rain. Rained a solid 12 hours last night into this morning and more on the way this afternoon and through the rest of the week..

I was going to ask the same question....I forgot where you hung your hat 😃

It's raining! It's raining!
Our hot, dry, windy heat wave is over (for now..) we were not in as bad a shape as the west coast, but the coolness is refreshing......and the vegetation is getting a good watering.
"They" have been promising thunderstorms for over a week now......it finally happened tonight!

A brief reprieve.....we'll see what tomorrow brings.....

Great! And the sun rose here this morning. That's just to make sure the sauna doesn't go cold though.

Hit 100 a little earlier today, 98 with 55% humidity right now.

Greg, I guess your part of the swamp isn't all that different from mine apart from suburbs trying to secede from Atlanta!  Or maybe not, lots of people I know (including myself) aren't too crazy about Houston, either!
