:icon_lol: Some things just provide timeless satisfaction or lack thereof.

......and it has kept all of us in touch over the years......

That it has!   :icon_mrgreen:

Well, the gate was banging open and closed for a while, but now it seems to be shut.  Back up to 77 degrees and it's raining pretty hard.  I got together with friends to work on the latest hobby shop project, a 120 inch B-17, turned out to be a good day for it!

I caught this today.  I also saw an article about how climate has changed for some places, but apparently here in the Rocky Mtn / high plains west we are still within 1% of the normal 100 year climate average.

still, 120 degree swing between seasons, 86 mph wind, who the hell wants to live here?   :icon_lol:

You gate guardians are slacking again, that north wind is back.  Just barely made it to 50 today.  Would someone please take care of that? I still could find only one mukluk.   :disturbed:

Don't look at me! We are finally above freezing (and substantially below freezing) for the first time in 3 weeks!    .......and no wind!!!

jetmex

QuoteWell, hop!

Tried that, fell down too many times.  But I found the missing the mukluk!!  The dog chewed it up, but a little (well, maybe more than a little) duct tape and it was good as new!!   :icon_mrgreen:

It might make it to 60 today.

You guys get all the good weather drama.

We be hovering 50°~60° every day, +/- 30% humidity (OK, closer to 20% in the house), and little wind since New Years.

....yawn....think I'll stoke the smoker today...

Yuck!  A couple of degrees above freezing and the snow gets soft and melty....then mix in the sand and salt the city put on the roads, and everything is covered in brown goo!

It only takes a couple of days to go from winter wonderland postcard scenery to giant mud-pit! It might even rain tomorrow!

balsum fractus

Three bouts of freezing rain so far, mixed in with real rain, snow, warm melty days and freezing nights leaves us with a lot of ice everywhere.
However, on the bright side.......the mosquitoes have not been too bad for this time of year.....😁🙄

We had a couple 2" snows a couple days apart, one was cold and dry, the second made a lot of slop for being just a couple inches.  Finally we get a little moisture.  Weather guys are bragging how we are 2" above normal for the year, which is like me saying I haven't bought a gun all year.   :icon_biggrin:

We see Denver, just a hundred miles north, getting snow & wickedness, but we get a dusting and immediate Melton. Temps pretty consistent every day at least upper 30s well into the 50s. Still acclimating, folks here actually lecture me for not wearing a coat. Got my truck plates on Friday, I guess that seals the deal.

Honcho, you seen those 8.6 Blackout rounds? The danged slug is almost bigger than the casing. Who comes up with these insane machinations?

Onepoint

Heh, yeah just saw that the other day, they were all giddy over it, and I'm thinking I really don't need a water buffalo round, and 5.56 still works on 2 legged varmints well enough.  Not really seeing the point of another 2 buck a pop round.  But that will probably appeal to the guys who liked 50 Beowulf etc.

We are in the 3- 4 day cycle of a shot cold and snow and then calm and relatively mild enough to make slop.  If I recall correctly, they call that 'winter', but it seems its the 1st I have heard of it this year.

Onepoint

I forgot to remind you, enjoy that now, because summer is going to be 'interesting' to hear about.   :icon_razz:
