Heh, thats just all part of the challenge, we use camo balls so you have to watch closely to see the dust puffs to see where it hits.

Gonna have to revise the official golfing dictionary in regards to "replacing your divits"  :icon_razz:

We are dry as a popcorn fart here!  Temp yesterday was 102, today it is a record breaking 107......

Yes, absolutely.....but at least the dust will keep the alligators off the course!

Holy cow, 107 this time of year? We hit 80 and I thought I was going to boil over after all the cool weather we have had.

Another challenge to WY golf will be trying to hit the ball into the 50 mph wind, without beaning yourself when it comes back!  You will have to be trained by a professional boxer to evade shots.

Well, it wasn't finished yesterday,  topped out at 108.  Today we topped out at 107.  Going to be 100+ for the next couple of days, and then high 90's for the next 10 days.

....but you could probably hit 350 yards with a putter downwind!!

There is no downwind in WY, nor downhill.   It's like campfire smoke, no matter where you are, its always in your face.

It's surreal how dry it is, considering that where we moved from has so much moisture that residents of the little town we moved from are being evicted and their houses condemned for the flooding.

And they're on high ground...

I find myself wondering if the old sump we had installed 12 years ago is keeping up. in a normal spring the thing would run every two minutes or less for a couple days, but there's a lot more rain/snow runoff than they've had in a few decades. I saw that they're getting another day of intense rain/lightning/thunder today. Local weather guys, who are proving as reliable as the clown act in Fargo, say there's NO rain in the foreseeable future for us.

But they also predicted 85 for yesterday, we hit 70, and it took all day to get there. :eusa_doh:

I heard on the radio this morning that half the US is officially in drought, just about all is in the west, especially bad in the SW, but pretty severe in the wheat belt.   We have actually improved in this little slice of heaven, officially anyway after picking up about 2" in the last week or 2. brought us up a level to moderate drought Still there is little reserve moisture deep, so when it dries up and heats up, it's going to look very Afghanish. And the areas that improved were pretty miniscule compared to the severe areas.

Heck Carl is well into the triples already and most of TX is in drought, weren't you just flooding and rain gauges overflowing the year or 2 before?

Not nearly as hot here as where Carl is, been mid 90s and lower than normal humidity.  Makes for some pleasant evenings once the sun gets behind the trees.  It's been windy as well, which helps.

Out here, the drought is measured by all the pretty colors on the maps the weather guesser's use.  Whether they're based on reality is anybody's guess, because the maps are all different depending on which channel you're watching!  We haven't had any significant rain in a few weeks.

Carl sent me a pic of his place last year this time

Forecast is for 90° today...

Use that as a reference point, it's been hot & dry like that for some time...

We're to expect 6-20 inches of SNOW (say it with me, Jaime) tomorrow into Saturday. I wonder if I'll ever get used to this...

A ten step program may not be enough.   :icon_mrgreen:

93 degrees and cloudy in the swamp today.  More of the same tomorrow.
