Two weeks of warm-ish weather 5-10 degrees above freezing..tomorrow is supposed to be stupid warm (for this time of year). Lots of sunshine too! Next week s'posed to be cooler, but no snow until the 23rd forecast.......

Onepoint

We have been relatively nice, 50s and 60s, even had a near 70 in there. Yesterday we had the 1st rain since Sept I think, it's really dry here again.  They are talking change for Thanksgiving here on the 24th, 30s for high, maybe snow.

I just hope I can get the roof on the barn by Monday, I go in Tuesday for the 1st cataract surgery, then I can't do anything for a week.

Actually, if your experience is like mine, you will be good to go the next morning....just have to wear those dark sunglasses if it is bright out...

They told me no bending over like picking up something on the ground or lifting more than 20lbs the 1st week, which rules everything I need to do except feeding cows.  Looks like the weoaethr will be bad anyway But I may fudge toward the end of the week if its nice.

balsum fractus

Yeah, tell that to your boss!😁

Meanwhile way up here......shirtsleeve weather yesterday and today!

Looks like the party is over, supposed to get 5-8" through Sat morning, and be pretty cold as well.  But I had my eye done, it went well, I finished the barn mostly, so I/m about as ready as I am going to be I guess.

balsum fractus

Are you getting the other eye done as well??

jetmex

Is there a pirate eye patch involved?   :icon_lol:

Yeah, I have the other one scheduled for the 5th.  Funny you should say that Jaime, I had a patch for about 4 hours, and when they told me they were putting it on, I said I was not wanting the hook along with the peg leg and patch set.

I didn't realize how bad it was, but man I can see stuff that I could only do with binoculars before, can't wait until they are both done so I can focus the same with both eyes.

Yeah, amazing difference, isn't it? Between my first and second eye getting done, I could look at a white wall with my good eye and it was pure white....switch eyes and it appeared yellow with the bad eye!

Onepoint

Yeah same here, and my left eye I thought was pretty good, which was relative to my right, but after getting a true clear eye on the right, the left is cloudy with a tint.

I knew they were getting bad, I have been struggling to see, the eye doc said they weren't that bad because I could read a chart OK, but I must have been psychic because they said I was 20/20 when I went in the following day, and I could see all the way down the to the bottom, where I could only see down half way before.

This sucks with one good and one bad eye, trying to focus and judge distance is an effort with both eyes.

Doesn't help we have about 4" of snow That's drifted up. so I walk like a drunk out there.

End of November, and still no snow! Typically, November is our coldest month - like -40!!

No warm here this morning, 37 degrees, but at least the sun is out and it will warm up to just above arctic later today...

Been kinda quiet here lately, how's everyone doing?

Beautiful weather here this week, highs in the lower 70s and lows in the 40s.  Hope it stays this way until spring!
