And we went to see them.

Our local EAA flyin was today so we ran in to soak a little up.  Been a while since I have done that.  They had the NE air guard KC-135 and a F16 flyby and some other goodies.  Sure seems like its smaller every time I go.

Man, I never get tired of the PT 19. Must be the memories with that first Cox tetherplane...

I've been getting an airshow with the air tractor buzzing the place lately. I swear he knocked a few leaves off the swamp ash out back one day...

Kayla's lookong like PuddinFace; Growing up too fast... :disturbed:

Them kids grow up real fast like, don't they?  You'll be walking her down the aisle soon, Honcho!

Haven't been to a good airshow out here since before Ike.  The Lone Star Flight Museum is still rebuilding, and I suspect it'll be a while before there's another one out there.

Not so exciting as an airshow, but when a fun opportunity falls in front of you, you grab it...  Mike had the use of a Scout for the afternoon, so we went for a local sightseeing trip and shot some  circuits. It is nice and comfy once belted in, but getting in the back seat requires some gymnastic flexibility....  Canola seems to be the crop of choice this year...

That was a fun afternoon!!

Well heck, that's better than just watching them. Cool plane too, can sure see the Citabria lines.

Yeah, it was fun...the closest thing to grass hopping in a cub with the door open (still on the to-do list.) The scout is apparently a foot and a half longer and has two feet more wing span, and is not aerobatic.... Good thing too, it is really sensitive in pitch, the ailerons are decent, but the rudder pedals feel like they are embedded in cement! Not exactly harmonized controls that you read about in books and magazines..... The huge big windows allow a great panoramic view on both sides, so it is a great sight seeing machine...and it is faster than the 172 I used to fly a hunnert years ago......

Some peoples kids get all the breaks:

First flight in a biplane, first flight in an open cockpit.......That grin was pasted on his face for a long time afterwards.

Heheh, its been 20 years since mine and I still remember it.
