Not as wintery for the moment. We've even been above freezing a couple days and are supposed to see 40s this weekend. That'll be good for propane consumption.

If this keeps up we'll be doing Cinco de Mayo for New Years...No really, we even have a Mexican cook coming from CO with hot sauce & refries.

What was that old joke about the Mexican weather report???    Chile today and hot tamale (tomorrow)   :disturbed:

We survived the blizzard...

We survived the ice age......

Now we are in the meltdown. Temps way above freezing. The 2+ feet of snow we had 2 weeks ago is virtually gone

Now it is just sunny and windy.......

We just had a week of late fall weather, highs in the 60s not even much wind to speak of.   I managed to finish the house, built come corral and swap out our pressure tank on the well all without being miserable in the process.  'Sposed to be mid 30s all next week though.

Onepoint

And the worm turns I guess, we got slammed with a white Xmas snow of about 10-12" forecast of 30mph wind which thankfully has not shown up, yet.  Temps in the 20s then dive Sunday way below zero.  Ugh, you would think you would see polar bears around here.

Brrr, we dropped down to -29 last night, I watched the windchill bottom out to -40 at times.

Well,  you can close that gate anytime.  It was 14 when we woke up this morning and it struggled to get to 19 for the high today.  Now they are predicting up to a 1/2" of ice by morning.  Us thin blooded Texas ain't used to this.

Vickis aunt and uncle in Boulder City NV said they never got over 30 yesterday either. We did get to 20 for a high, but with all the snow it still was cold.  -13 this morning, at least its trending the right way.

Yep. Got our first significant snow of the season last night; a whole inch and a half. Funny part is that it wasn't forecast.

Had some -teens here for lows, but nothing like last year. They are forecasting below zero for highs next week.

Winter's going to be interesting.

It is raining up here right now.......

Well, that was a sneaky diversion......the tmperature dropped aut 20 degrees, and it snowed..

Winter is back..

Warmed up nicely here yesterday and melted the 1/2" of ice that was covering everything.  Back down to 24 this morning, with a high of 35 today.  Then back down to 14 tonight.

A brisk -40 this morning....but it is sunny....

Only one more week of this, and I will be under a palm tree sipping umbrella drinks......

The sun came out!!  After seven totally overcast days where the temps never got about 45.  It's up to 60 on the back porch right now.  I don't know how you guys handle this winter stuff....I just about went nuts without the sunshine.

Three months from now I'll be complaining about how hot it's gotten!  :icon_mrgreen:

We had a warm up finally, the last couple days got to 40s even 50s and started to melt the 3" of ice in the driveway.  Today is supposed to cool back down to the 30s for a while and the slop will be mostly frozen again, which is preferable to the wet glass we have had,  I was walking around like I was 90 years old trying to not break egg shells.  I swear you could time me with a calendar just getting across the yard.  All of which is preferable to the 0 degree average we ran for so long.
