Frazz

And we're in a pretty fair drought right now......... :disgust:
To understand true love, lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour and then see which one is glad to see you when you come back

They say it is a "light snowfall" but it is the most snow I have seen come down at one time since we moved up here 7 years ago....

stetto

Yep, lots and LOTS of snow, but not one flake (of snow) fell here. It all came down no closer than about 50 miles west of us. The news is full of closures and delays and cancellations, but every one of 'em is in ND.

'S ok though. We still got plenty on the ground already. I'd like to tear the carb on that snowblower down, but my right hand is about useless anymore for the small and delicate components. Maybe Santa Sancho will come and do some of his mechanickin' magic...

Speaking of which, being as you guys "Up North" do Thanksgiving on the wrong day, I've always wondered if you have Christmas where you are...And if so, when?

balsum fractus

thanksgiving = 2nd Monday in October
Christmas = December 25

That gives plenty of time to get over the turkey indigestion before digging in to the second bird........ :icon_razz:

Dang it Nony, I live a hundred miles from the doggone Canuckian border...I knew that...

Was just...Razzing you...And those eclectic cultures you guys have up there...Ya know...Eh...

Great beer though. I'll give you that...

Well, I wasn't sure with a third of  your brain gone, and all the meds and whatnot..........ya just never know....... :eusa_angel:

stetto

Hey man, there was no 1/3rd of brain gone, why else would there be a tumor there in the first place...Uh...No...nevermind

You make all the fun of my meds you want, but please leave my whatnot out of this.

On an unrelated yet spooky note, I went in to refill a prescription today, only to face a number of strangers who told me that my pharmacist died yesterday.

It took them three hours to fill two bottles with dope.

Onepoint

I dunno, But seems like a good thing to outlive your pharmacist.   :hrm:

stetto

It was wierd. I knew the guy as well as you might know someone you saw on at least a monthly basis and were on a first name basis.

He didn't show up for work, someone went to check on him and found him dead at home. That's all I know...

...Except that he was 6 years younger than me. Which one can't help but shudder at initially.

Of course, being a pharmacist, the FIRST thing I would have looked at was his med chest... :eusa_think:

Generally .....yes...except for weeks with a lunar eclipse on the eve of the winter solstice...then we skip Thursdays and have two Fridays instead!!  :eusa_think:
