I'd like to thank whover it was that closed the door and returned our temp to a more seasonal level.  72 degrees and sun sure beats 20's and ice.....

But you still got your digs in.  Wally and I went flying the other day.  Took his truck, a diesel Ford F350 with the eight foot bed, into which we can cram lots of airplanes.  Got to the field, started backing in to unload and noticed that the truck was traveling downward faster than it was traveling backwards.  Thought it might be a good idea to see why...we were stuck!  The wet weather turned parts of the field into the swamp that it originally was, and we found one of those spots.  After an hour of trying to dig out, I called another friend and while we were waiting for him, went flying!  Nothing like having a stuck vehicle full of airplanes and batteries.... :icon_mrgreen:

Rick arrived and had us out in ten minutes, so we celebrated by flying a little more.  I hate getting stuck at the flying field.

Oh, and to whoever takes care of such things in the Great White North, please leave the door closed..... :icon_lol:

oh sure, off gallivanting around, rearranging the landscape, and - dare I say it? - enjoying yourself flying.......no thoughts or concerns for your northern bretheren who may have their tongues stuck to metal flag poles for another 6 months!!!!!

Yep, cold here again too. Nothing like getting spoiled to tropicals temps (in MN that would be anything above freezing) and thrown back into the dregs of below zee-row.

balsum fractus

well, at least the sun is out.....but....somebody left the frikken frakken front door open....we are getting a wicked cold wind from the SOUTH.....30 below here. That wind just cuts right thru you, no matter how many layers of clothing you have on ......

To understand true love, lock your dog and your wife in the trunk of your car for an hour and then see which one is glad to see you when you come back

Back to a breezy 72 here in the swamp.  The sun is shining, Nony. Pack up your sunscreen and come on down!

You, too, Stetto!  David runs the sound board at church, and they have a huge music room with all the goodies.  Grab your guitars and the groupies and head south.... :icon_lol:

..are your interline benefits any better??

jetmex

Quote..are your interline benefits any better??

Nope.  It's still cheaper to buy a ticket on orbitz than to go on one my buddy passes (assuming you can get on, because those are standby tickets). And it looks like they will get worse once untied takes over.  Apparently, they charge their employees on certain routes, and that includes the international ones.... :sadness:

stetto

Don't worry Jaime. We are headed for a national airline, the name will not matter.

37 below this morning.....I'll let y'all know if I see any glaciers going by.........

Onepoint

Ugh, and I am complaining because its 3 degrees.  I do have to say I think I have had enough winter wonderland for the year already though..

balsum fractus

double ugh... I think we have had more snow and cold weather than the last 5 winters combined!

Good news though...It has warmed up by 57 degrees over night...from 37 below to 20 above.......the bad news is that we now have a near blizzard happening....

stetto

Blizzard warning for this afternoon. Not a word about till this morning, then BAM! Panic! Run like little girls! Hide! We're all doooooooooomed...!

Then 40s on Monday.

Good ol' fashioned wild-ride Spring.
