And then 55 today. 30 mph gusts, first of June in minnesnowta, right? Second day of unrelenting drizzle, not getting anything done outside.

I think we broke even....after that hot windy dry spell, we had 2 weeks of rain....everything is lush and green now...

Raining hard again tonight.  Six inches already about 15 miles west of us and a flash flood warning was just issued until 2200 tonight.  Might have to swim to work again tomorrow...

Four more inches of rain last night, ten inches total for the past week.  Sure would be nice if this stopped for a while.

Roger, are you all right out there?

zrct02

We only got about 2 inches last night. No flooding at the house but some of the low areas have about 4 inches and the creek is pretty full. Yes indeedy, we have had enough rain for quite a while.

What is with Texas and the feast or famine bit? Now I know why people down there were asking "Y'all gon stay?" They need more oar men.

We got over our rain I guess, we are hitting 90s now after all that cool weather and I think I am melting.

I think we've gotten more rain so far this year than we did for 2011-2014 combined.

So all that wild weather that went through the Honcho's back yard on Monday night came through here last night. Reports of tornadoes to the south, huge amounts of rain to the east and the West, and my rain gauge filled up to....a paper thin wet spot on the bottom. Can't win. Now I gotta go water the 8th acre...

Torrington got 5.5" in about 45 minutes last Sunday, had major street flooding, winds knocked some big trees down, it was a mess.  We got 1/10th inch and are burning up with a lot of 30mph wind and near triple digit heat.  Still, I 'll skip the flooding.

We have had rain and thunderstorms for the past 3 weeks....

I think we have broken even now......the good weather can come back any time...

I'd just be happy with a half inch in a slow soaker.....

Well, the rain stopped here for a few days and now we have temps in the mid 90's, unbelievable humidity and B-17 sized mosquitoes.  I missed some of it, though, because I was sitting on a beach in Florida for a week.  The weather was just fine there!

Funny how just a few weeks changes everything.  We have had no real rain since mid May, and other than the tall grass you would think we don't get rain.  We hit 106 yesterday. :P  It stayed up around 104 for 5 or 6 hours.  Fortunately cooled off into the 60s after 11pm, but man what a scorcher.  Today highs in the 80s, which while thankful, WTF? we have been bouncing between triple digits and 80s, but no rain with the fronts.

Hmm, we're having pretty much a classic summer. Close to an inch of rain every other week, one day of 90s, otherwise 70s and low, dry 80s. We did lose half a honeycrisp apple tree in the wind on Father's Day, I grieve for that, but bumper crop of asparagus, the garden looks healthy, I even got the Alumacraft registered again after sitting in the weeds for 3 years. Might even float it.

They're really ginning up the panic over the heat in the southwest. How short can memories be? I remember throwing frisbee in 1992 at a park in Mesa, temp was 122. It's the desert, dummy!

But 106 in southeast Wyoming? That should be on the news....
