Ok, so I was looking at some of the pics we took on the trip and remembered seeing these weird fences along I80 in Wyoming west of Cheyenne.  They were mainly on the south side of the road and looked a lot like the blast fences on our runup pads here at the airport.  They don't really close anything in, and the length varied.  So being a desert rat in a foreign country - what the hell are they for?  The cows can just walk around them......  :eek5:

Onepoint

Ha, SNOW fence, to keep it from drifting as bad across the road or railroad depending where they are .

They also keep the geoducks from migrating....officials claim 100% success rate so far.....

Onepoint

They must work.  Someone must have had a problem with them migrating through their place because the news said someone stole a couple hundred yards of them a couple weeks ago.

balsum fractus

If so, someone must have left a gate open somewhere....and those sneaky critters took advantage of it. One can only hope that a couple hundred yards of fencing is enough to corral them!

🙀

Ok, so where do I get one of those fences?  If they keep the sssssnnnn..............sssssssssss...............snssssnsssnnnn... out, then I might want one!!   :icon_mrgreen:

Not worried about the geoducks, they probably wouldn't survive the heat down here.

balsum fractus

They might be African Geoducks........

Six weeks. Hope the weather improves... :icon_mrgreen:

Not six weeks anymore. Saturday.

...and in case anyone is wondering (y'all likely don't remember), yes, Sheep & Pig will be in tow.... :notworthy:

That was fun, right up till the trip home. It was so good to see you & Vicki again, Buckaroo, even for the short half hour or so that it was. I'm debating whether to keep that hunnert pounds of Wyoming muck road on the truck or hose it off, sure makes the Ram look tough... :vikingsmiley:

Hopefully before fall I'll be stopping in again!

Onepoint

Yeah, it was great see you 2 also, just need to spend a little more time doing it next time.
